Fair Play Policy

Fair play is at the core of Victory Lineup. Our fantasy cricket contests are designed to reward skill, analysis, and strategic thinking – not shortcuts, manipulation, or technical tricks.

This Fair Play Policy explains the standards we expect from every user, the behaviours that are strictly prohibited, and the actions we may take to protect the integrity of our free-to-play, skill-based platform.

A level playing field for every manager

Victory Lineup uses technical checks and policy enforcement to ensure that every contest remains skill-based, honest, and free from unfair advantages.

1. Fair play principles

Victory Lineup operates a free-to-play fantasy cricket platform where contests depend on cricket knowledge and strategic team selection. For the Platform to remain enjoyable and trusted, we rely on three key principles:

  • Skill-based competition: Contest outcomes should reflect users’ understanding of cricket, not attempts to exploit loopholes.
  • Equal opportunity: Every eligible user should have a fair chance to compete using the same rules and information.
  • Honesty & integrity: Users should participate under their own identity and follow both the letter and spirit of our rules.

This policy applies to all contests, all users, and all parts of the Platform.

2. Free-to-play, yet strict on integrity

Victory Lineup is completely free-to-play. We do not accept deposits, charge entry fees, or offer cash prizes. However, that does not make fair play less important. Users invest time, thought, and passion in building fantasy teams, and they deserve a trustworthy environment.

Even in a free setting:

  • Unfair tactics can distort leaderboards and spoil contests for others.
  • Abuse of multiple accounts can block or crowd out genuine participants.
  • Automated tools can undermine the skill-based nature of fantasy sports.

For these reasons, we treat fair play as a serious responsibility and enforce this policy through technical checks and manual review when required.

Free contests still deserve serious integrity. Victory Lineup protects every user’s right to a fair, skill-based competition.

3. Behaviour that is not allowed

The following behaviours are strictly prohibited on Victory Lineup. Engaging in any of these may result in warnings, contest removal, or permanent account bans.

3.1 Multiple accounts & identity misuse

Each user is allowed to maintain only one personal account. The following is not permitted:

  • Creating multiple accounts for the same individual.
  • Using fake names, false dates of birth, or misleading location information.
  • Sharing one account among several people.
  • Using another person’s account without their permission.

We may use device-level signals, IP checks, and other indicators to detect and investigate possible multi-account behaviour.

3.2 Automated tools, bots, and scripts

Victory Lineup is intended for human players using their own judgment. You must not:

  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to create teams or join contests.
  • Scrape data from the Platform in a way that violates our technical limits or policies.
  • Attempt to bypass normal interfaces or APIs through hacking or reverse engineering.

Automated participation is fundamentally incompatible with a fair, skill-based environment and may lead to immediate account action.

3.3 Collusion and coordinated manipulation

Users must make independent team decisions. The following forms of collusion are prohibited:

  • Coordinating multiple accounts to crowd out contests or control leaderboards.
  • Agreeing as a group to use specific line-up patterns solely to manipulate rankings.
  • Sharing login details or contest entries in a way that gives some players hidden advantages.

General cricket discussion and open strategy conversations are fine; secret collusion that harms contest fairness is not.

3.4 Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities

If you discover a bug, glitch, or unexpected behaviour on the Platform, you must not exploit it for advantage. Instead, we ask you to report it to us so we can fix it.

Examples of prohibited exploit behaviour include (but are not limited to):

  • Submitting teams after a contest’s official lock time through unintended means.
  • Duplicating contest entries beyond the allowed limit using technical tricks.
  • Manipulating scoring or leaderboard updates through unauthorised requests.

4. Your responsibilities as a Victory Lineup user

Fair play is not only about what you must avoid; it is also about how you choose to participate. By using Victory Lineup, you agree to:

Play under your true identity

Provide accurate age, state, and contact information during registration and keep your account details up to date, especially if you move or change primary email.

Respect age and location limits

Use the Platform only if you are 18+ and not accessing from restricted states (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Odisha, Nagaland, or Sikkim). Do not attempt to bypass these restrictions through false information or technical tricks.

Treat others with respect

Avoid harassment, abuse, hate speech, or offensive content in usernames or communications. Healthy debate about cricket is encouraged; personal attacks are not.

5. How we monitor fairness

Victory Lineup uses a combination of technical systems and manual review to help identify suspicious patterns and potential violations of this Fair Play Policy. Without disclosing specific security mechanisms, we may consider factors such as:

  • Unusual numbers of accounts using the same device, IP range, or environment.
  • Highly similar line-up patterns across multiple accounts in the same contest.
  • Abnormally high rates of contest entry or team creation in short time periods.
  • Attempts to access restricted parts of the Platform or bypass standard flows.

Suspicious activity may trigger internal review. In some cases, we may temporarily restrict certain actions (such as joining new contests) while we investigate.

We use technical signals and careful review to detect unfair behaviour while respecting user privacy and legitimate use.

6. What actions we may take for violations

If we believe a user has violated this Fair Play Policy, our Terms & Conditions, or any relevant law, we may take one or more of the following actions, depending on severity and context:

  • Warning: Informal or formal notice explaining the concern and expected behaviour going forward.
  • Contest removal: Removal of specific contest entries that appear to have been created unfairly.
  • Feature limits: Temporary restrictions on joining contests or editing teams.
  • Account suspension: Temporary blocking of login access while we investigate serious issues.
  • Permanent ban: Long-term or permanent closure of an account for repeated or severe violations.

Our goal is always to protect the fairness and reliability of the Platform, not to punish users unnecessarily. However, we will act decisively in clear cases of cheating or abuse.

7. Transparent rules and scoring

A key aspect of fair play is knowing exactly how contests work. Victory Lineup aims to provide clear information about:

  • Squad availability and match details for each contest.
  • Selection limits (roles, team balance, and any credit/salary-cap rules).
  • Scoring rules for batting, bowling, fielding, and special milestones.
  • Contest start/lock times and how late changes are handled.

We encourage every user to read contest details carefully before joining. If something is not clear, you can contact us to request clarification – we would rather answer questions up front than deal with confusion after contests have started.

8. Reporting suspected unfair play

We also rely on the community to help keep Victory Lineup fair. If you suspect that another account is:

  • Using multiple accounts in the same contest.
  • Using bots or scripts to generate teams.
  • Exploiting a bug or technical loophole.
  • Otherwise engaging in behaviour that clearly violates this policy.

You can report your concern to our team at: support@victorylineup.com

Please provide as much detail as possible (such as contest ID, approximate time, and what you observed). We may not always be able to share specific outcomes of investigations, but we do review genuine reports seriously.

9. Relationship to other policies

This Fair Play Policy works alongside our other policies and terms, including:

In case of any conflict between this Fair Play Policy and the Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions will generally take precedence, while this policy provides further detail on integrity and contest behaviour.

10. Changes and contact information

Victory Lineup may update this Fair Play Policy from time to time to reflect new features, evolving best practices, or changes in law and regulation. When we make material changes, we will update the policy on our website and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

If you have questions about this policy, want clarification on specific rules, or would like to share feedback on how we can further strengthen fairness, please contact us at:
