Simple, transparent, and focused on cricket skill

Victory Lineup has no deposits, no entry fees, and no real-money payouts. You play purely for the joy of reading the game better than others.

Step-by-step: from signup to scoreboard

Every match day on Victory Lineup follows a simple journey: register, pick a contest, build your XI, and track your performance. Here’s the process in more detail.

1

Create your free account

Sign up with your name, email, date of birth, and state. We confirm that you are 18 or older and not from a restricted state (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Odisha, Nagaland, or Sikkim). No OTP, no card, and no payment details are required.

2

Browse the contest lobby

After logging in, you’ll see a lobby of upcoming contests. Each contest is linked to a specific match or set of matches. You’ll see:

  • Which teams are playing and the match type (T20, ODI, etc.).
  • Contest description (e.g., “Evening T20 Free Skill Challenge”).
  • Maximum number of participants and current entries.
  • Start time and basic scoring rules.
3

Create your fantasy XI

Once you join a contest, you’ll enter the team creation screen. Here you build your XI by selecting players from the real squads participating in the match. You must follow:

  • Role constraints – a mix of batsmen, bowlers, all-rounders, and wicketkeepers.
  • Team balance – you typically can’t pick all 11 from the same side.
  • Optional credit/salary cap – in some formats, each player has a value and you must stay within a budget.
4

Watch the match & track your score

As the real match is played, your selected players earn fantasy points for their performance – runs scored, wickets taken, catches held, and more. Victory Lineup updates scores and leaderboards in near real-time so you can follow your rank as the game unfolds.

After the match ends and official stats are confirmed, final rankings are calculated. You can then review your decisions and plan for the next contest.

Selecting your XI: strategy over luck

The most important part of Victory Lineup is team selection. This is where your cricket understanding comes to life. Instead of randomly picking big names, successful managers think like coaches and analysts.

When you build your XI, you should consider:

  • Recent form: How have players performed in the last few matches or series?
  • Roles: Is the player a top-order anchor, middle-order stabiliser, finisher, strike bowler, or powerplay specialist?
  • Match conditions: Pitch type, weather, and venue history – spin-friendly track, high-scoring ground, etc.
  • Opposition: How have players historically performed against this opponent?
  • Team composition: Are both captains likely to use specific bowlers or batting orders?

The more thoughtfully you answer these questions, the better your chances of building a lineup that scores well in our skill-based scoring system.

Scoring system: how your players earn points

Victory Lineup’s scoring system is designed to reflect a player’s real contribution to the match. The exact numbers may vary slightly by contest, but the overall logic remains: runs, wickets, and impactful moments translate into fantasy points.

Batting points (example)

  • 1 point for every run scored
  • Bonus points for a half-century (50+ runs)
  • Additional bonus for a century (100+ runs)
  • Bonus points for boundaries (4s) and sixes (6s)
  • Penalties may apply for extremely low scores (e.g., ducks), depending on the contest

This rewards batters who score consistently and quickly, especially in key positions.

Bowling points (example)

  • Points for each wicket taken
  • Bonus for 3-wicket and 5-wicket hauls
  • Extra points for maiden overs (no runs scored)
  • Optional economy-rate bonuses or penalties in some formats

Effective bowlers can swing a contest dramatically, especially in formats where wickets and economy are heavily rewarded.

Fielding & wicketkeeping (example)

  • Points for catches and stumpings
  • Points for participation in run-outs (direct hit or involvement)
  • Bonus in some formats for exceptional fielding moments

Smart managers value keepers and fielders who are consistently involved in dismissals, not just batters and bowlers.

Each contest clearly lists its scoring rules before you join. We encourage you to read these details carefully because small differences (for example, extra economy-rate points) can change which players become most valuable for that particular match.

Contest formats on Victory Lineup

To keep things interesting, Victory Lineup can support multiple contest formats. Regardless of the format, every contest remains free to enter and entirely skill-based.

  • Classic Single-Match Contests
You pick a team for one specific match. Your score is based just on that match and you compete on a single leaderboard.
  • Multi-Match or Mini-Series Contests
Some contests may combine multiple matches (for example, a short series). Your total points across all included matches determine your final ranking.
  • Themed Contests
Occasionally, you may see themed contests such as “Top-order Focus” or “All-rounder Challenge” with small twists in selection rules or scoring, always clearly explained in the contest description.

All contest formats are transparent – rules, selection limits, and scoring are visible before you join so you always know what you’re signing up for.

Practical tips to improve your performance

Fantasy cricket is like any other skill – you improve by combining knowledge, observation, and experimentation. Here are a few practical tips that can help you become a stronger Victory Lineup manager over time.

Study player form & roles

Focus on how players have performed in recent matches and what role they are likely to play today. For example, an all-rounder who bowls full quotas and bats in the top six can be more valuable than a pure batter at number seven.

Balance safety and upside

Safe picks (consistent performers) provide a solid base, while a few high-upside players (explosive batters or wicket-takers) can launch you up the leaderboard when they deliver. Your ideal mix depends on the contest size and format.

Review previous contests

After each contest, check your final team, the winning teams, and the scoring breakdown. Ask yourself what you missed or could have predicted better – conditions, roles, match-ups, or risk management.

Free-to-play, always

No matter how you play, one core rule never changes: Victory Lineup is always free. We will not ask you to deposit money, pay entry fees, or provide payment details in order to join fantasy contests.

This means:

  • You can experiment with bold strategies without financial stress.
  • You can invite friends and family without worrying about money-related risks.
  • You can focus on learning the game, reading form, and enjoying cricket.

While there may be gamified elements like ranks, badges, or in-app milestones, they are purely virtual and cannot be sold, traded, or exchanged for real-world money or goods.
